Description:
Walter Wick, the artist and photographer whose work is the subject of the Walters’ fall exhibition, has long had an interest in illusions, science and mysterious objects. This forum discussion will explore hidden secrets, little-known facts and uncommon mysteries presented by a panel of experts representing several disciplines. Panelists include artist emerging Caleb Charland; artist Gillian Brown; historian David A. Hatch; and artist Jim Sanborn, best known for Kryptos, a sculpture installed at cia headquarters in 1990.

Description: For nearly twenty years, the Kryptos sculpture at CIA Headquarters has fascinated amateur and professional cryptanalysts. The enigmatic fourth portion, known as K-4, remains unsolved. In this day-long workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to be a part of history as we work to crack K-4. Moderated by cyber security expert Gene Anderson, we’ll gather, present, examine and argue the numerous clues, hints, and tips from Kryptos’ creator Jim Sanborn. This workshop is open to anyone, and lunch is included.
